Using the org chart
How to view and navigate the Dapplon org chart, how it is built automatically from employee data, and how to export it.
What is the org chart?
The Dapplon org chart is a visual representation of your company's reporting hierarchy. It is built automatically from the Reporting Manager field in each employee's profile. You do not need to manually draw or maintain it — Dapplon updates it in real time as employee records change.
Viewing the org chart
- Log in to admin.dapplon.com
- Go to Organisation > Org Chart in the left sidebar
- The chart loads with the CEO or top-level leaders at the top
- Each node shows the employee's name, photo, and designation
- Lines connect each employee to their reporting manager
Navigating the chart
- Zoom in/out — use the scroll wheel or the + / – buttons in the corner
- Pan — click and drag to move around large charts
- Expand/Collapse — click the arrow below any node to show or hide their direct reports
- Search — type a name in the search box to jump directly to that person's node
Clicking on an employee node
Clicking on a node shows a popup with:
- Employee photo, name, and designation
- Department
- A link to their full profile: click View Profile to open it
Exporting the org chart
- Click the Export button in the top-right of the org chart page
- Choose the format: PNG, PDF, or SVG
- For large org charts, choose PDF — it creates a multi-page document that fits on A3 paper
- Click Download
Note
The exported org chart is a snapshot of the current hierarchy. It does not auto-update. Re-export whenever you need a fresh copy for a presentation.
