Creating a job posting
How to create a compelling job posting in Dapplon and publish it on the job portal for candidates to find.
Before you create the posting
A well-written job posting saves you time in the screening process. Before writing, confirm with the hiring manager:
- The exact job title (avoid internal jargon)
- Must-have vs. nice-to-have qualifications
- Salary range (even a rough range improves application quality)
- Target location (in-office, hybrid, or remote)
- Closing date
Creating the posting
- Log in to admin.dapplon.com
- Go to Recruitment > Jobs in the left sidebar
- Click + Post a Job
- Fill in the Job Title — keep it simple and searchable (e.g., "Senior Frontend Engineer", not "Code Wizard III")
- Select the Department from the dropdown
- Set the Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Contract, or Internship
- Set the Experience Level: Entry, Mid, Senior, or Lead
- Enter the Location — select city and whether the role is remote or in-office
- Enter the Salary Range — showing a range increases applications by 40%
Writing the job description
The description editor has four suggested sections:
About the role — 2-3 sentences describing what this person will do and the team they join.
What you will do — bullet list of day-to-day responsibilities (6-10 bullets)
What we are looking for — bullet list of required and preferred qualifications
What we offer — company benefits, culture, growth opportunities
- Fill in each section in the editor
- Use bold for section headings
- Use bullet lists for responsibilities and requirements
- Click Preview to see how the posting looks on the job portal
Publishing the posting
- Once the description is complete, click Publish
- The posting goes live on jobs.dapplon.com immediately
- A unique application link is generated — you can share this on LinkedIn, Naukri, or WhatsApp directly
Note
Published jobs appear on the public job board. Do not include confidential internal details (like the salary budget breakdown or internal headcount reasons) in the posting.
