Tracking attendance and viewing timesheets
How Dapplon records attendance, the different clock-in methods available, and how to view timesheet data.
How attendance works in Dapplon
Dapplon tracks attendance by recording a clock-in and clock-out event for each employee on each working day. Based on these events, the system calculates:
- Present, Absent, Late, Early Departure, or Half-Day status
- Total hours worked per day and per month
- Overtime hours beyond the assigned shift
Clock-in methods
Dapplon supports multiple attendance capture methods:
Mobile app — employees open the Dapplon mobile app and tap Clock In. GPS coordinates are captured to confirm the employee is at the workplace (optional geofencing).
Web portal — employees clock in from the Employee Portal at employee.dapplon.com.
Biometric integration — if your office uses a biometric device, Dapplon can import attendance data via API. Contact support for the integration guide.
Admin manual entry — HR admins can manually mark attendance for employees who were present but forgot to clock in.
